Description
A tribute to Frank Barr, who served as a professional parachute jumper in WWI, and a test pilot in Detroit before coming to Alaska to work as a bush pilot in Alaska and the Yukon, carrying passengers, mail and freight to remote villages, mining camps and solitary trappers’ cabins in the 30s and 40s. Barr also served in the Alaska Territorial Legislature. Includes 37 b&w photographs and 4 maps.
