Description
Ronald Simpson, Athabascan Indian writer and historian pens a fictional account of 2 grandsons of the great Chief Nicolai of the Ahtna tribe set against the background of the historic Kennecott Copper Mines and its CRNW Railroad. Breaking through the no-Indian-hire policy, the two grandsons reclaim their pride and make friends and enemies at the mine and the Railroad. Intertwined in the book are 340 black and white photos of the mine and railway which helps the reader understand the history.
